About Me

👋 I’m Oladapo Folarin.

I am a researcher, plant pathologist, seed certification expert, published author, speaker, singer and mentor.

I am also a UK Global Talent Visa Recipient and Coach and I help talented researchers’ increase their chances of being endorsed at the Stage 1 of the UK Global Talent Visa in Research and Academia. I received the UK Global Talent Visa to live and work in the UK after being endorsed by the Royal Society.

I have received professional and personal training from a plethora of institutions across Africa, America, Asia and Europe. A recipient of several research and conference travel grants, and as well collaborated with local and international scientists on research projects.

I hold the following degrees:

  • Bachelor of Science in Crop Protection – Plant Virology - from the University of Agriculture Abeokuta, Nigeria
  • Master of Science in Crop Protection – Plant Virology - from the University of Abuja, Nigeria
  • Master of Science in Food Security & Development - from the University of Reading, UK
  • PhD in…..looking forward to it 🥰

I am an Ambassador for the British Society for Plant Pathology, a member of CONNECTED Plant Virus network and a STEM Ambassador with STEM Learning.
